Terms of Service

Scriptly is operated by Ian Michael Stephens (Scriptly, we, us). These Terms govern your use of the Scriptly application and all related services (the Service). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Scriptly does

Scriptly turns your own speaking style into draft video scripts for TikTok Shop affiliate and UGC content, using details you provide about a product or brief. Scripts are generated with the help of third-party AI models (see How we use it in our Privacy Policy) and are starting points for you to edit, not finished, guaranteed-to-perform copy.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account and are responsible for safeguarding access to it. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

New accounts get a one-time free trial of 5 credits — no card required. Paid plans (Starter and Pro, priced as shown on the billing page) are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that resets on your billing date and does not roll over.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal (linked from the billing page). Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period — you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If a payment fails, we will flag your subscription as past due; continued failure may result in your plan reverting and credits no longer renewing.

We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles all payment details directly.

4. Your content

You own the video/voice samples you upload, the product details you enter, and the scripts Scriptly generates for you. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service for you — building your voice profile, generating and storing your scripts, and nothing else. We do not sell your content or use it to train our own models.

You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, and for how you use the scripts we generate — including complying with TikTok Shop platform rules and applicable advertising-disclosure laws (for example, FTC guidance on affiliate/paid-partnership disclosure). Scriptly does not automatically add disclosure language to scripts; that is on you.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Scriptly to generate content that is illegal, deceptive, or impersonates someone without their consent; do not attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service; do not share your account with people it was not created for.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided as is. Generated scripts are AI-assisted drafts — we do not guarantee they will be accurate, suitable for any particular purpose, or that using them will produce any particular result (sales, views, engagement, or otherwise). Review every script before filming or posting it.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Scriptly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including abusive use of the credit system or generation pipeline.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we will post the new version here with an updated date; continuing to use Scriptly after that means you accept the update.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
